Tiffany D. Mealman, age 33, of Phoenix, AZ died Sunday January 28th, 2018 surrounded by family after a long struggle with cancer.
Tiffany was born September 16th, 1984 to Terence Mealman and Cynthia (Mannasmith) Mealman in Cedar Falls, IA. She graduated from Chaparral High School in Scottsdale, AZ in 2003 and from Seattle Pacific University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry in 2007. Tiffany went on to complete an interdisciplinary chemistry research PhD at the University of Arizona in Tucson and subsequently became a beloved member of the Chemistry faculty at Grand Canyon University.
Tiffany enjoyed chemistry, teaching, and world traveling, and she was a devoted follower of Jesus. Because of her love for people, anyone who experienced her bright smile and thoughtful, warm personality quickly came to love her too. Tiffany always had a question about your life that showed she cared.
She is survived by her parents Terence Mealman (Carol Hardin) and Cynthia Mealman (James Pongratz); siblings Angela (Ben) Burdick, Charity (Matthew) Anderson, Jonathan (Gina) Mealman, and Alexandra Mealman; grandparents Norene Mealman and Patsy Mannasmith; Aunts Carol Sue (Robert) Alford and Cathy (John) Myers; Uncle James Mannasmith; cousins Ben Alford, Kristina Alford, Daniel Myers, and Natalie Myers; nephew Blythe Burdick; and nieces Katelyn Burdick, Anna Burdick, Sophia Burdick, and Nora Mealman.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday February 3rd at 9:30 AM at the Scottsdale Bible Church Grace Chapel at 7601 E Shea Blvd Scottsdale, AZ 85260 followed by a graveside service at Paradise Memorial Gardens. There will also be a viewing on Friday February 2nd from 6-8 PM at Messinger Indian School Mortuary at 7601 E Indian School Rd Scottsdale, AZ 85251. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Missio Dei Communities.
